Julia Bardmesser is the Global Head of Business Data Management in Citi’s Chief Data Office. She is responsible for defining requirements for the implementation of consistent and controlled approach to the development and use of enterprise information assets and critical data elements across Citi.

Julia has over twenty years of experience in data management, data governance, data architecture and cross-platform solution delivery in the financial industry. Prior to joining Citi Julia ran the Data Services technology team at FINRA (Financial Industry Regulations Authority) where she delivered enterprise wide MDM, Data Warehousing and BI solutions.

Julia also worked at Freddie Mac, Thomson Financial Services, Bear Stearns and Bloomberg L.P.

Julia has a Master of Arts degree in Economics from the New York University.

He has previously held leadership role in enterprise data architecture in a global bank and influenced organization's overall information management strategy. David M. Blaszkowsky

David joined State Street in 2014 from the Office of Financial Research, US Department of the Treasury, where he was Senior Policy Advisor, working on data and technology issues related to financial institution and systemic risk, including standards, data strategy, and emerging data technologies.  Prior to joining the OFR, the Securities and Exchange Commission appointed David in October 2007 as Director of its new Office of Interactive Disclosure, which developed and implemented interactive data rules, standards (particularly XBRL), and analytical tools for SEC financial disclosures. At both the SEC and OFR, David co-created and helped promote the adoption of the Legal Entity Identifier (LEI), as an original member of the “Linchpin” team.

Before his stints in government, David managed several equity research and analytics businesses for Standard & Poor's in New York. Before that, he was the director of strategic planning and development for McGraw-Hill's Construction Information Group, held finance and reengineering roles at Fidelity Investments, and was a management consultant at McKinsey & Company, Price Waterhouse (now PwC) and Gemini.

David received his B.A. in Economics at the University of Chicago, and his MBA in Finance at Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management.  David lives in Boston with his wife and two daughters.

Mr. Brownlee has been instrumental in the creation of the Data Solutions business and has managed numerous operational, product development, business development, and client relationships for the company. Additionally, Mr. Brownlee manages Kingland Systems strategic relationship with IBM for Information Management software and other corporate marketing and business development functions. In this role he manages all global and cross line of business initiatives relating to pricing and reference data as well as any industry initiatives in which the bank is engaged.  Previously at JP Morgan he was the North American Regional Head for Trading Technology.  He has over 30 years of experience in financial services including front office, risk management, operations, technology and marketing. He has previously held senior positions at Swiss Bank Corp, Bankers Trust, Reuters as well as KPMG Consulting and CAPCO where he was a practice leader in trading technology. He is a frequent lecturer on Securities and Derivatives topics in industry and academia.  Early in his career, he was a professional options trader for Oppenheimer & Company. Mark Davies joined Depository Trust and Clearing Corporation (DTCC) in 2012 to lead its European efforts around the development of the legal entity identifier, a global initiative created in response to new regulations for reducing systemic risk.

In January 2013, in addition to his role at the DTCC, Mark became head of Avox, a DTCC subsidiary and specialist in business entity data management. Formerly, he held senior roles at RBS, managing Group Risk data, and Barclays Capital, leading the legal entity reference data team.

John has recently joined BNY Mellon as the head of Data Governance for the Firm. The traditional responsibilities of a Chief Data Officer are split between Data Governance and IT. A Data Governance Framework is under design and review and will be launched later in 2014.

Yagmur Kanbas-Campbell

Yagmur brings over 15 years of experience in data quality, data governance and audit within the banking industry. Prior to Citi, she was the data quality team lead for capital markets /trading then market risk control framework lead in Enterprise Risk Management at Bank of America. She oversaw Basel data quality efforts at Merrill Lynch and, held responsibilities in information technology audits within Morgan Stanley and Ernst Young. In her current role, Yagmur engages with data governance officers, data stewards, technology system and data owners within Citi’s many businesses; she responds to recent data trends such as BCBS 239 or CCAR in audit and contributes to Citi's global data control framework through continuous review of Citi’s processes controls related to its data management. She holds an engineering degree and is a certified internal auditor.

Previously, Rick managed a global team of subject matter experts responsible for lending pre-sales expertise on analytical products and for delivering thought leadership. He was also a product manager for two analytical products with responsibility for development and commercial strategy.

His prior industry experience includes credit analysis at S&P Ratings, private equity at Credit Suisse and prime brokerage at Chase, Lehman and Merrill.

Rick holds an MBA from the Yale School of Management with concentrations in Finance and Investment Management. He is a member of the CFA Institute where he is a registered Chartered Financial Analyst and the Global Association of Risk Professionals (GARP) where he is a certified Financial Risk Manager.

Jack Klinck is executive vice president and global head of Global Strategy and New Ventures. In this capacity, he is responsible for State Street’s data and analytics business known as State Street Global Exchange, the corporate strategic planning process and managing relationships with State Street’s largest global clients. Mr. Klinck also oversees the functions that support client acquisition, retention and development, including the company’s cross-organizational sales council, the credit services group, marketing, and client data and reporting platforms. He is a member of State Street’s Management Committee, the company’s most senior strategy and policy-making team.

Mr. Klinck joined State Street in 2006 as global head of its Alternative Investment Solutions business, where he led the strategic direction, global sales and product structuring of State Street’s hedge, private equity and offshore fund servicing capabilities worldwide. Under his leadership, the company made three strategic acquisitions that contributed to the steady growth of its alternatives business, including Investors Financial Services Corp. and Palmeri Fund Administrators in 2007. Previously, during Scott’s tenure as director of CUSIP Operations, a major revitalization and upgrade of CUSIP’s infrastructure was implemented that facilitates the numerous securities issuance procedures in a real-time environment.  He has been actively involved in the industry’s effort to standardize legal entities, securities descriptive data and product classifications, and has chaired the ANSI-accredited standards group X9D in that regard.  Scott regularly lectures on standardization, reference data and risk management, both in the U.S. and globally.

David Saul
