John Fleming is a global information technology and brokerage operations professional with extensive expertise in developing and management of enterprise-level strategic initiatives. During his career, he had held key management positions, most recently as Head of Enterprise Data Governance for BNY Mellon: A bank with a long history of providing solutions to the capital markets. He managed teams as small as 1 and well over 400. He has lived abroad and managed staff in Asia, Europe and the Americas.

John has recently joined BNY Mellon as the head of Data Governance for the Firm. The traditional responsibilities of a Chief Data Officer are split between Data Governance and IT. A Data Governance Framework is under design and review and will be launched later in 2014.
